Solar Panel Safety Scraper with Rinse Jet – Triumph MK3 Hybrid

Based on the world-renowned Triumph MK3 angled scraper, this custom version has been adapted by Solar Clean Robotics specifically for solar panel cleaning.
We’ve combined a 30° angled Triumph handle with a solar-safe plastic blade and a factory-fitted rinse nozzle, allowing you to apply water or cleaning chemicals directly in front of the scraper edge.

Key Features

  • Solar-safe plastic blade – designed to reduce the risk of scratching solar glass when used correctly.
  • Integrated rinse jet – pre-mounted nozzle sprays water or chemicals onto the panel as you scrape.
  • 30° angled Triumph MK3 head – perfect for accessing awkward areas and using on poles.
  • Ergonomic, rubberised handle – comfortable, non-slip grip in wet conditions.
  • Fits most extension poles – can be attached to traditional or water-fed poles with a standard cone/adapter.
  • Snap-on safety cover – protects the blade during transport and storage.

Why Use a Rinse-Jet Scraper on Solar Panels?

  • Loosens stubborn contamination – pre-wetting and chemical application helps soften bird droppings, lichen, sap and baked-on grime.
  • Reduces friction – water between the blade and glass allows smoother, more controlled scraping.
  • Improves safety – constant rinsing helps flush away particles that could otherwise drag across the surface.
  • Speeds up work – spray, scrape and rinse in one motion instead of switching tools.

Typical Applications

  • Removing heavy bird fouling from individual solar modules.
  • Careful removal of lichen spots after pre-treatment with suitable chemistry.
  • Cleaning stubborn adhesive, tape marks or silicone residue from module frames and glass edges.
  • Detail work on difficult corners or around mounting hardware where brushes can’t reach effectively.

Technical Details

  • Handle: Triumph MK3 Angled, 30° head
  • Blade width: 15 cm (6″) plastic safety blade (double-edged, replaceable)
  • Nozzle: Pre-mounted jet with short hose tail and push-fit style connection for standard pure-water hose
  • Grip: Rubber-coated, ergonomic handle with anti-slip ribs
  • Pole compatibility: Fits most traditional extension poles and many water-fed poles via standard cone/adapter
  • Cover: Snap-on plastic safety cover (can also be used as a basic squeegee)

Using on Solar Panels – Important Guidance

  1. Always test in a small, inconspicuous area first and check manufacturer guidelines for the solar panels.
  2. Pre-wet or pre-treat the soiling with pure water or approved solar cleaning chemicals.
  3. Keep the nozzle flowing so the surface stays lubricated while scraping.
  4. Work with light, controlled pressure – let the blade and chemistry do the work.
  5. Regularly rinse the blade edge to remove trapped particles.

What’s Included

  • 1 × Triumph MK3 Angled Scraper body (customised)
  • 1 × Plastic solar-safe 6″ / 15 cm double-edged blade (fitted)
  • 1 × Snap-on safety cover/squeegee
  • 1 × Pre-mounted rinse nozzle and hose tail assembly

Note: Replacement plastic blades and spare nozzles are available separately. Always follow the solar panel manufacturer’s recommendations and use at your own discretion.
