Solar Draino™ – Water Drain Clips for Framed Solar Modules

Solar Draino™ clips are simple but highly effective plastic fittings that snap onto the front edge of framed solar panels
and create a controlled drainage path for rainwater. By preventing stagnant water from sitting along the lower edge of the glass,
they help reduce dirt bands, algae growth and long-term degradation of your PV modules.

Compatibility & Sizing

Designed for standard framed crystalline PV modules. Solar Draino™ clips are available to suit the most common frame profiles.

Suitable frame thickness: 30 mm, 32 mm, 35 mm and 40 mm
Solar panel upper dimension: approx. 11.5 mm (lip height)

Installation

1. Clean the lower frame edge to remove loose dust and debris.
2. Position the Solar Draino™ clip on the front edge of the frame at the desired spacing (typically every 20–40 cm along the bottom row).
3. Press firmly until the clip snaps securely onto the frame.
4. Repeat along the lower edge of each module, concentrating on areas where water naturally pools.

The clip’s internal profile grips the frame securely without screws, adhesives or drilling and does not interfere with most
standard mounting clamps or rail systems.
