This 25 litre resin vessel is designed for producing ultra-pure water for professional solar panel and glass/window cleaning applications. When filled with high-quality mixed-bed DI resin, it removes dissolved minerals from the water supply, delivering spot-free rinse water essential for photovoltaic and glazing surfaces.
The vessel can be configured in multiple ways depending on your water quality and operational scale:
Standalone DI system – suitable in soft water areas or lower-volume applications.
Double DI (twin vessel) setup – extends resin life and provides a polishing stage for guaranteed 0 ppm output.
Used in conjunction with Reverse Osmosis (RO) – dramatically reduces overall running costs by lowering the TDS before the water reaches the DI stage, significantly extending resin lifespan.
Deionisation works by exchanging dissolved cations and anions with hydrogen and hydroxide ions, effectively removing Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). When properly maintained, the system is capable of producing water with a 0 ppm TDS reading — critical for preventing mineral spotting and ensuring maximum light transmission on solar panels and streak-free glass finishes.
This vessel is supplied empty, allowing you to fill with the appropriate media for your system design. We also supply 25 litre bags of professional-grade DI resin, making it simple to commission or replenish your setup.
Resin lifespan will depend heavily on:
Incoming water hardness / TDS level
Daily water consumption volume
Whether pre-filtration or RO is used upstream
In hard water regions, resin will exhaust more quickly if used as a standalone system, whereas RO pre-filtration can significantly improve efficiency and reduce cost per litre.
